Our History
Swing Transport, Inc. was founded in 1975 by Jim Swing, who merged his company, Contract Transporter with another to form Swing Transport. The company has a long history in the southeastern U.S. serving the paper and corrugated box industries, specializing in time-sensitive freight.
Over the years, we’ve grown into a respected carrier with a modern fleet of more than 200 tractors and 1,200 trailers, serving a wide range of industries across the Southeast and beyond.
Despite our growth, we’ve stayed true to our roots by treating every customer like a partner and every load like a promise.

All of our equipment is company-owned and operated by professional, experienced drivers. Each driver goes through a rigorous screening process to ensure we hire only the best. Our certified driver trainers provide continuous education and performance coaching – keeping our drivers sharp, safe, and dependable.
Modern Fleet, Expertly Maintained
Swing operates a fleet of approximately 200 late-model tractors and 1,200 trailers, all maintained in-house at our terminal facilities. We also have repair partnerships throughout our operating region to ensure that, in the rare event of a breakdown, deliveries stay on schedule and customers stay informed.
